Eric and Liz Brodar welcome you to The Inn at English Meadows, a stylish, modern bed and breakfast in Kennebunk / Kennebunkport, Maine.
In 2010, Eric and Liz took ownership of the Inn. In December of that year they set out to do a complete renovation. The Inn, which was built in 1860 as a Victorian/Greek revival house, had an old fashioned feel. Eric and Liz stripped out the wallpaper, replaced the furniture, and set out to create a fresh, contemporary, yet cozy inn by the sea featuring modern amenities. They added Frette linens and robes, SFERRA throws, Malin & Goetz toiletries, and flat screen TVs, creating that “right at home” ambiance for their guests.
Eric and Liz have traveled extensively to Europe and Asia, have dined in the finest restaurants, and stayed in the finest hotels along with bed and breakfast inns. They both love wine and have traveled to Napa, Bordeaux, and Tuscany in Italy to collect. These experiences and the knowledge from all their travels is reflected in the meals, which are nothing short of divine. Liz has a true passion for cooking and baking. She studied these disciplines at the French Culinary Institute in New York city and abroad in Europe and Asia. Guests will be delighted by her three course breakfast featuring a wide variety of signature entrees and baked goods made from locally farmed produce and ingredients.
The Brodars have brought together their collective talents and experiences to create what they feel is the perfect blend of comfy and chic, intimate and luxurious, all wrapped up in a bed & breakfast. Integrating their passions and experience, the Brodars have formed the perfect atmosphere to insure guests of The Inn at English Meadows have a great experience, and will want to visit again.
