Seek Serenity

April 30th, 2013 by Eric Brodar

The Serenity SuiteWe are excited to unveil our newest room – the Serenity Suite. Over the winter we added an addition to the Inn to house a new apartment for us and simultaneously renovated the previous living space into a lovely suite. The Serenity Suite is unique because it is the only suite in the Inn with two rooms and two bathrooms. The bedroom features a King size bed dressed in luxurious FRETTE sheets, a cozy gas fireplace and a bathroom with a double sink vanity and an over-sized shower.

Serenity Suite sitting roomThe sitting room has a queen size pull out sofa and a second bathroom with a radiant heated floor and an indulgent soaking tub. Other amenities include: flat screen TVs in both rooms, a refrigerator stocked with soft drinks and bottled water, and a Nespresso machine. We have carried our signature chic, modern style through the furnishings and decorations, pairing clean lines with finishes and fabrics that are delightfully soft and comfortable. The Serenity Suite is located on the second floor of the main house and has a private entrance, promising a peaceful oasis for a romantic getaway. We invite you to come seek serenity on the beautiful coast of Maine.

We are excited to announce our new Guest Rewards Program. The more times you stay, the closer you are to earning a Gift Certificate that can be used for a future stay or given to someone else as a gift. Who doesn’t like to be rewarded for doing something that is enjoyable all on its own.

Here is how it works: each time you have stayed at The Inn at English Meadows for ten nights we will reward you with a Gift Certificate that is worth 10% of the total of those ten nights.

For example, if you stayed ten nights in a room that costs $249.00, the total from your ten nights would be $2,490 which would earn a Gift Certificate valued at $249 (taxes not included). The ten nights are cumulative and do not have to be completed in one stay. The Gift Certificate is transferable.

As an added incentive, if you stay with us in 2013 your stays from 2011 & 2012 will be added to your total, which means you might be closer to earning your Gift Certificate than you think! Your loyalty deserves to be rewarded, get started earning your 10% bonus today by escaping the everyday and wrapping yourself in luxury at our Kennebunk / Kennebunkport bed and breakfast.

On February 28, 2013, The Examiner featured The Inn at English Meadows in an article in their travel section. The theme of the article was that women need not despair during the basketball fueled frenzy of March Madness. Our inn is one of several properties mentioned as great destinations for a Girl’s March Madness Getaway.

We are always happy to custom tailor a stay to include elements that will personalize and enhance the experience of escaping to Kennebunk / Kennebunkport and the beauty of southern Maine. To read the complete Examiner article click here

We will be announcing a March Madness special soon but in the meantime, be sure to check out our Cabin Fever Special. The rate discounts for March are sure to cure your cabin fever and offer an attractive opportunity to plan that Girl’s Weekend getaway!

Happy New Year from Kennebunkport, Maine

January 5th, 2012 by Gail

Our English Goldendoodle, Bailey, writes again:

Take a Deep Breath

Rockefeller Center, so big, so beautiful!

“2011 ended with a bang. I had my first great adventure. Liz and Eric took me to New York City for Christmas, and showed me where they lived and worked before they became innkeepers in Maine. Wow! Life in the city is so different from life here at our Kennebunk/Kennebunkport Maine Bed and Breakfast. There were so many new smells in the city, so many sounds, and so many people! Each day was exhaustingly full.

One of the highlights of the journey for me was our trip to Rockefeller Center; the Christmas tree there was so beautiful, and so very, very, big. It was fun to watch all the people. Boy, did I want to get my paws on the ice skating rink! Too bad I wasn’t allowed on it.

We saw lots of family, and I have to say, I was the toast of the town. Everyone loved me (and the fact that I don’t shed), and I loved everyone. I hope they can all visit me here in Maine, and that I can visit them again next year.

Our trip to New York City was fun, but honestly, it was a little overwhelming. I was happy to return home to our Kennebunk/Kennebunkport Bed and Breakfast, where the air smells of the ocean, and  where I have room to run and play.

Liz and Eric got right to work after their vacation, for the week between Christmas and New Year’s was busy here at the inn. We hosted a dinner for a lovely bride and her bridesmaids one night, which was great fun. On New Year’s Eve, we served our guests hors d’oeuvres and champagne before they all headed out for dinner at different restaurants in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Breakfast Sunday morning was served later than usual, so everyone could sleep in. Well, almost everyone. I wake up early every day, and the first thing I do is wake Eric so he can take me out, feed me, and play with me! We’re best buddies, Eric and I.

2011 was Liz and Eric’s first full year as innkeepers in Maine, and they were tired but happy as the year drew to a close. They say the best part of the innkeeping is that they meet so many wonderful people. That’s my favorite part, too.

We hope to see you at our Maine Bed and Breakfast in 2012. Happy New Year!”

Bailey
